Private Event: Fresenius Medical Care - 19 Jan 2013

Jeaw Moon and Sing Shia came to see us with a brilliant idea of organising a Cooking Competition for their dialysis patients from Peninsular as part of their Company's CSR activities. "So You Think You Can Cook? Wok It Cooking Competition" was born!

Participants came from KL, Butterworth and Johor. Fresenius Medical Care's MD, Mr Lim, our Chef Khai and Chef Ryan of My Nourishment magazine were the judges for the night. The event went well with all participants cooking up a storm. The 1st prize of RM1,000 shopping vouchers went to Team Zhi En Johor with their Baked Chicken and Vegetables dish.

Prize giving and a slides presentation of the event ended the night in a happy mode. Everyone was treated to a well deserved delicious healthy dinner specially prepared for the night.

We are located in a bungalow with a big garden in an affluent neighbourhood. If you would like to organise any team building acitivities, cooking competition, corporate events, parties or get-togethers at our culinary studio, please contact us at 016-377 8236 or e-mail at19culinary [at] yahoo.com.

Private Class: QLogic (Hewlett Packard) - 19 Dec 2012

When Eddie and Kok Ann of QLogic Singapore approached us to conduct a private cooking class as a year end appreciation for their Hewlett Packard team in Kuala Lumpur, we were excited. We liaised long distance with Eddie in Singapore and Mei Ling in KL to co-ordinate this cooking class. Everything was finalised and ready for 19 Dec.

They wanted a cooking competition where groups will compete against each other in 4 categories - soup, appertiser, mains and dessert. The menu for the day was Mushroom Soup, Seafood in filo pastry, Chicken Roulade in mushroom sauce and Classic Apple Pie. Chef Khai took the class and guided the participants thru the rudiments, dos and dont's of cooking the recipes and especially food presentation where the dishes must look and taste great!

There was great bonding time between the Singapore managers and their KL team. After their hard work, everyone sat down to savour their cooked dishes. Chef Khai plated all the dishes for dinner and they sure looked amazingly delicious. Everyone had a great time.
