It’s time again for us to feature our “Cake of the month” to showcase what we consider our best custom made order cake. The Cake of the month for Mar is a 2-tier fondant cake we nicknamed the “Rubik Cube” cake. Mum Carmela wanted to make a very special birthday cake for her son Alex who turns 13 today. Alex is fascinated with building designs and wants to be an architect when he grows up. The cake design is something similar to a building design which Alex did using a game software.
The cake looks simple but the
workmanship is very challenging as we had to patiently and painstakingly cut
all the small square fondant to decorate the cake, not to mention the creation
of the colouring effect. It was an effort well worth it as Mum Carmela said
when she came to collect the cake “Wow! The design is exactly what I wanted it
to be. Alex will be very happy when he sees the cake”.
Well, we can’t be more happier than to
