Cake of the month - May 2014

It’s time again for us to feature our “Cake of the month” to showcase what we consider our best custom made order cake. The Cake of the month for May is a Cutie Duck Cake. This was a birthday cake for a little boy’s birthday to celebrate with his mates at school.

When Catherine e-mailed us to do a customized cake for her son’s 4th birthday, we were delighted. The picture she e-mailed to us was so so cute with Mother Duck and her ducklings swimming around on cupcakes. The chocolate crunch sticks looks super delicious too. Well Catherin’es trip to hunt for the rubber duck and her ducklings as toppers for the cake has been a worthwhile trip as they look awesome.

Well, we can’t be happier than to know we have made someone happy. Have a special event coming up? Need a special cake? Take a peek at our Cake Creations Gallery: http://www.at19culinary.com/gallery_cake.html. For enquiries on our custom order designer cakes, please send us an e-mail at contact@at19culinary.com.

At 19 Culinary Studio was hosted a Mother's Day baking workshop for Mary Quant cosmetics. Mary Quant wanted to treat bloggers and customers to a baking workshop and at the same time promote their cosmetics brand.

At 19 Culinary Studio conducted a short bread cookies baking and decorating workshop. There was even a contest for the creation of the "best dressed" cookie girl. Participants were treated to a sumptuous tea break of sweet & savoury pastries and drinks followed by a make-up demonstration conducted by Mary Quant's own beauty expert specially flown in from Japan for this event. Participants were excited to try out Mary Quant's make-up range. Needless to say, everyone enjoyed themselves!

Private Class: Accenture - 16 May 2014

Valerie's team at Accenture finance dept wanted to spend some fun time away from the office to bond and at the same time learn how to make sweet Malaysian treats. We came up with a Malaysian Sweet Treats theme for the girls to make Malaysian classics such as Curry Puff, Onde-Onde, Bubur Cha-Cha and Pineapple Tart. That received the thumbs up and everyone was very excited as the team building cookout day drew near.

Everyone arrived early morning, excited and in high spirits. Each were given the At 19 red apron. The team learnt new skills - how to crimp the edges of curry puff, how to make pineapple tart pastry, how to make the onde-onde and bubur cha-cha. They were also treated to an authentic Indian Briyani lunch which was delicious.

The end results were simply delightful. Everyone was so happy with their effort, not to mention the lovely baked items to take home to show off to their family and friends. What a great way to bond team mates and spend time away from work.

If you would like to do a team building event, give us a call at 016-377 8236 or e-mail us at contact@at19culinary.com. We can help you fit any budget.
