Wedding Cake Demo at The Great Food Escape 2013 - 27 Oct 2013






At 19 Culinary Studio was at The Great Food Escape 2013 at Bangsar Shopping Complex (BSC) to conduct a Wedding Cake Decorating demonstration. Our cake Decorator Sandy conducted the 1 hour wedding cake decorating session using fondant to create a lovely pastel purple wedding cake with matching life-like gumpaste roses to match. It was a fantastic 3-tier wedding cake which caught the eyes of many visitors who were at BSC for the event. Many curious visitors observed attentively as Sandy put the finishing touches to the wedding cake.

Cake of the month - Oct 2013



It’s time again for us to feature our “Cake of the month” to showcase what we consider our best custom made order cake. The Cake of the month for Oct is a Miffy Rabbit Cake. Zhi Xin e-mailed us a drawing of the cake which she sketched herself. She was very specific with the measurements for the cake.

We discussed over a few e-mails and the result was a BIG white rabbit cake weighing almost 4kg. Miffy’s face was 8 inch in diameter and the ears were 6 inches long. We made this red velvet cake for Zhi Xin’s birthday party. “The cake is really nice” says Zhi Xin in her e-mail to us the next day.

Private Class: Exact Asia Development - 4 Oct 2013



When Catherine sent us an e-mail to request for a team building cookout class, she and her colleagues knew exactly what they wanted. They were quick in their decision to do a fondant cupcake baking and decorating class. Little did we know that they were a very talented bunch! Just look at all those wonderful cupcake designs that they had created.

The class was small and cosy. A group of colleagues just having fun away from work on a friday morning. What a great way to bond and chill out, learn new skills or a new hobby. The end results were simply delightful. Everyone was so happy with their cupcake creations and could not wait to show them off to their family and friends.

Private Class: Petron - 27 Sept and 4 Oct 2013







When Wan contacted us to enquire about our team building cookout classes, little did she know that when she e-mailed out our recommended Happy Days cupcake baking and fondant decorating class, the response would be awesome! She only booked for 20 pax but 40 people wanted to join. So, another session was added due to the good response. It was a Sports Club initiative and the idea of spending some fun time away from the office to bond and learn a baking skill was just so enticing.

Everyone arrived very excited and in high spirits. Baking simply delicious vanilla cupcakes was fun. Next, it was decorating time. Baker Suraiya showed examples of how to shape, cut, roll the different coloured fondant to create wonderful designs. Creativity was the order for the day and everyone made their favourite things that they associate with Happy Days. There were rainbows, flowers, trees, the sun..... the list goes on.

The end results were simply delightful. Everyone was so happy with their cupcake creations and could not wait to show them off. What a great way to bond team mates and spend time away from work.

Cake of the month - Sept 2013


It’s time again for us to feature our “Cake of the month” to showcase what we consider our best custom made order cake. The Cake of the month for Sept is a Teddy Birthday Cake. The trend now is for small cakes, especially fondant cakes are so cute when they are 5-6 inch in diameter. We made this moist chocolate cake for little Hugo’s 1st Birthday. Mum, Rachel Ee texted us the next day to say that the cake was delicious and everyone wanted to eat the fondant bear too. The bear is oh so so cute. The design was adapted from our Baby Shower cake design minus the booties. The little bear is iconic, almost majestic sitting on top of the cake holding up a Happy Birthday lollipop banner. We wish Hugo a very Happy 1st Birthday from At 19.
